The Magic of the Rainforest is a full school day program with a large stage production, followed by interactive classroom sessions. The Magic of the Rainforest is an exciting performance where education and conservation take center stage, in a large stage production. This thematic stage production is full of magic, theater, and the true stars…..live animals from around the world. During the show students are exposed to interesting facts that truly make Planet Earth magical. The stage literally comes to life with these animal ambassadors of the world. Join our feathered and furred friends as they meet in the heart of the Rainforest, and look through their eyes at global environmental concerns. Your students will have a chance to see Rainforest animals, including monkeys, parrots, and reptiles, as well as understand their natural behavior and habitat. This show is a truly magical production with animals and people appearing and disappearing throughout the performance. The show consists of several large illusions, as well as great opportunities for audience participation. The number of students that can attend the show is limited only by your seating availability. The show is presented in a style that is purely magical and will lead to great classroom discussion. The second part of the school program consists of dynamic classroom sessions. We offer four, thirty minute classroom sessions that can accommodate any number of students. Through the use of cooperative learning and problem solving, students actually get a chance to work on real solutions to some of the environmental problems that have been discussed. We emphasize that KIDS have the ability to make changes in their world locally as well as globally. We focus on topics such as recycling, environmental destruction and conservation, slash and burn farming, and supply and demand of habitats. The teachers will have an opportunity to choose from a list of activities which ones they would like. This full day program is yours to structure so your students benefit the most. Our basic school package includes two morning shows (usually split up by age based on seating availability), followed by four afternoon sessions. This program is designed for primary/elementary and middle school students. This nontraditional approach to environmental education will make an impact on your students that will last a lifetime.
